Hello, my name is Bill Stahl and I am a retired computer graphics and animation professional. After 30 years in the CGI industry, I am now changing direction and making ceramic mugs.

The name ‘Funky Mugs’ is something that feels like it is from the 1970’s. That is when I was growing up and I was interested in pop culture and also funky music. I am inspired by the Japanese ceramic mugs I saw in Benihana’s of Tokyo when I was a kid. I had the Hotei (Banzai) mug. That was my favorite.
